It's been too long since I updated this thing. Unfortunately life
often gets in the way of doing what I want to do (which most of
the time equates to laying on the couch and watching tv or
playing halo 2). Anyway I'm a big Harry Potter fan and I can't
wait for book 7 to come out. here are some of the more amusing
posts I found online about the young Mr. Potter and his fans

That last one made me lol.

The coolest thing (besides the PS3) that I saw at the launch
party last month was Ron Eagle's (Sony PR rep) sneakers;
exclusive PS3 Nike Air Max. It may be hard to see from my photo but it has the Playstation logo on the front, the nike swoosh changed color depending on the angle that you looked at it and it had the release date on the back.

Alright! I purchased a brick (12 booster packs) of Marvel's Supernova heroclix and got a Super Ultra exclusive Zombie Spider-Man fig. I just checked ebay and these things are going for like 120 bucks! With a little luck I can make my money back along with some extra.

I have to cover the PS3 launch tonight but maybe if I'm not too tired i will post some pics. I saw the lines starting last night around 6pm. Man those guys are crazy!

from outer space! And it seems that I've missed the 24 Hour comic day which was on October 7, which is like the Boston Marathon for comic book artists. Oh well, maybe next year I'll give it a shot. I have some cool pictures from my vacation but right now I'm really sleepy, so maybe I will post them here at a later date. And just for the record, NBC's Heroes is officially one of the coolest T.V. shows of all time.

and while I'm blogging about hated creators I came across an interview with oft reviled comic creator Rob Liefeld, it look likes he's back on board with Marvel to do an Onslaught returns storyline. Feast your eyes on some of this "art".

Heroes?

I took a chance and watch that Heroes show on NBC last night. I actually liked it! Granted I still have no idea where they are going with the story but I think that lends to the charm of the show. My favorite character so far has got to be Hiro the Japanese guy that can bend time and space. He even has his own Blog and is a lot more interesting than my least favorite character: The Cheerleader. That chick I just don't understand.

I don't mind that fact that Thor was a clone in the now infamous and widely hated Civil War #4 in fact I really dug that issue, but why o why did the black man have to die!?!? R.I.P Goliath. Checking out the comics that are coming out on Wednesday and it seems that by this time tomorrow Ultimates 2 #12 should be in my hot little hands! I can't wait, that is of course if there isn't another delay. Also the Walking Dead Vol 5 trade comes out as well, *sigh* I need a life...

I have never in my life seen a game that made me seriously contemplate paying $600 for a system until I saw this trailer for Level 5's White Knight. Its in Quicktime, which I prefer and here is the wmv format which is ok too. Do yourself a favor and watch this thing. Damn. Now THAT'S what I call next gen!

I finally got a chance to see Korgoth of Barbaria and guess what? Unlike the new Fantastic Four cartoon, I really liked it! I also caught the Seceret of the Fire Nation special, which wasn't even a real movie but just two episodes (Serpents Pass and The Drill) aired back to back. False advertising but whatever, it was still very good. I'm only about halfway through the Full metal Alchemist Tv series but I went on ahead and picked up The conquerer of Shamballa DVD for later viewing.

Read em and weep for joy! Street Fighter The Ultimate Edition Complete First Series TP is 440+ pages of pure ultimate awesomeness! It costs about 50 bucks but it is so worth it. I get all teary eyed when I gaze upon it's beauty.

I saw the Covenant this weekend. Ugh. I heard it was bad before going to see it, but I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment. The thing is, the concept was pretty cool but the story is severely lacking, as well as the acting. I should have saved my money for a real movie like Snakes on a Plane.

I also took a much needed trip to Costco this weekend. Unfortunately the flesh is weak, and I spent over half of my grocery money on Buffie the Vampire Slayer seasons 1-3 DVDs. It was a great deal! Only 19 dollars a season! It was a "limited time offer" I had to "act now"! So basically this means that at least I have someting to watch on TV as I slowly starve to death.

Dude! This movie was so bad, it killed my Girlfriend!

Well maybe not good news for everyone, it's actually just good news for me, and fans of the Justice League TV show that was on Cartoon Network. In what I and many fans consider to be the best season of the show, Justice League Unlimited season 1 will be available for DVD purchase starting Oct 25. It will contain 26 episodes spread out over 4 DVD's as well as extras, behind the scenes and interviews with actors. It also comes in widescreen format, with a running time totalling at 595 minutes. What more could a comic book fan like myself ask for?

once you kill 60,000 zombies in Dead Rising for the 360 you get the Mega Man suit.
But the real question is how can you kill a zombie? Aren't they already dead?

Yipee! It's new comic book Wednesday! For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking (typing?) about, Wednesday are the days when most comic book stores have the new issues available for purchase. So for me, today is the one day out of the week where I don't mind going into work because midtown comics is like 2 blocks away from my building.

I will post more on the wonderful world of comics later on today, but for now feast your eyes on a scene that depicts what REAL MEN do on Wednesdays.
Yessir! you won't find none a those guys doin something as "sissy-fied" as reading comic books, They're too busy getting mauled for sport.

This Saturday 9/2/2006 cartoon network will air the first episode of the New Fantastic Four animated series. The pilot is aptly named "Doomsday" and the synopsis is: Reed stands accused of purposefully exposing Susan, Johnny and Ben to the cosmic rays that have transformed them into the Fantastic Four. While they're distracted by this turmoil, Dr. Doom strikes!
Be sure and check your local cable provider for showtimes.
Hopefully this show will be good, I will be keeping my fingers crossed.

I was able to snag some images (befored they were pulled) of the "new and improved" megatron from the upcoming Transformers movie. Notice the painstaking detail in which the designers went through to make sure the live action version looks almost EXACTLY like the cartoon version. Great job guys!
